RingCentral + Avaya

It was recently announced that Avaya, an on-premise phone solutions provider will be partnering with RingCentral to offer “Avaya Cloud Office by RingCentral,” making RingCentral the exclusive provider of Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS) solutions to Avaya. 
 
This news comes as no surprise. With the shift to cloud, Avaya joins a growing list of premise-based providers such as Toshiba, Samsung, Noretel and Shoretel who are either discontinuing or restructuring their offerings.
